The Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) adopted the Sustainable Growth Management Plan (SGMP) with a vote of 5 - 0. About 200 hundred plus people showed up for the hearing. There was a lot of opposition predominately from citizens in the southern most part of the County, but there was more support than opposition. Although they brought up some valid points, there was a lot of misunderstanding about the plan. There were some amendments proposed that are scheduled to be heard at the next BCC hearing, but the amendments should not substantively change the plan.
